The Problem

Valentine's Day is a major opportunity for sweet and treat brands, but it can be tough for a niche, yet delicious treat like Pocky when competing against more traditional chocolate brands. For Valentine's Day 2022, Pocky wanted to stand out amongst the competition and encourage people of all ages to Share Happiness by choosing Pocky as their Valentine's Day offering of choice this year. 

The Solution

Valentine’s Day is not limited to celebrating only one's partner, but is a unique opportunity to show all the people we care about just how much they mean to us. Whether they are our kids, family, friends, co-workers, or classmates, everyone deserves to enjoy a little Pocky love! 

We sprinkled Pocky happiness throughout the entire Valentine’s season, starting with Galentine’s Day (the special day to celebare the ladies in our lives) and continued through Valentine’s Day. We created a series of social posts that showed followers how to take their Pocky sharing up a notch by giving unique ideas of how to implement Pocky into their celebrations and gift giving. We also created a Snapchat AR lens, and updated the Destini landing page so online shoppers could continue the Valentine's experience when ordering their Pocky.

This social mini campaign was a success, especially in regards to the Snapchat AR lens, as it performed well and made it into Snapchat's examples of successful implementation of creative advertising and branding within Snapchat AR lenses.
